First Post

Well here goes...my first steps into the world of blogging. I am not sure how this blogging thing really works but I guess I will fathom it out in time. It is perhaps a moment of madness that leads me into starting this blog about our family's journey into home education, only time will tell.

We started upon our journey a little under four months ago. Dissatisfied and disillusioned by what the State system was offering we decided to follow a different path and allow our children to take greater control of their learning. The transformation that has already occurred in their attitudes and approaches to learning is quite remarkable and one that reassures me on a daily basis we have made the right decision.
